So "htmlText" exists but any built in support for "xhtml"

I am using DOORS 8.3 and just came across the "htmlText" function. I never had a need to work with HTML and DOORS before so does anyone know of any built-in functions that can be used to convert the rich text value of an object attribute to be xhtml compatible?

Thanks.

From the DXL Help file, I am going to use this property to read the rich text and then apply the xhtml tags accordingly.
string s = "{\\b Bold}{\\i Italic}DXL"
RichText rt
for rt in s do {
if (rt.italic) print rt.text " is italic\n"
else
if (rt.bold) print rt.text " is bold\n"
else print rt.text " is neither\n"
}

This example prints:

Bold is bold
Italic is italic
DXL is neither
